We are looking for a talented and versatile Design Intern. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals from TANGITY and NTT DATA, including digital product and experience design teams, service and business teams, creative teams, technology teams, etc., to provide comprehensive solutions.

What you'll do

As a Design intern, you might be involved in design activities such as:  

  • Analyze and understand the market, competitors, and the performance of other products or services, identifying opportunities to improve user experience with a systemic and business value-oriented perspective;

  • Comprehend user needs and behaviors through quantitative and qualitative research methods (e.g., interviews, field observations, or data analysis), distilling and articulating valuable insights and areas of opportunity;

  • Conceptualize and design new business models and customer experiences;

  • Plan and facilitate workshops with users and clients;

  • Use prototyping methods to quickly visualize and validate hypotheses, also experimenting with digital tools and emerging technologies

  • Ideate and create engaging, educational, and useful content for companies and public institutions;

  • Expand and build new expressions of brand visual identities for various platforms;

  • Evaluate the usability and accessibility of products or services, including test planning, collecting user feedback, and analyzing results to identify areas for improvement;

  • Create key project deliverables (e.g., research reports, user journeys, service blueprints, system maps, stakeholder maps, storyboards, scenarios, interaction models, wireframes and prototypes, design systems);

You will carry out these activities by participating in project meetings, providing feedback, and contributing to design documentation. 

During your internship, you will acquire skills such as:

Planning and executing design activities with particular attention to time constraints and available resources.

Producing deliverables and documenting research findings in a format that can be understood by various audiences, including non-design stakeholders

Who are we looking for?  

  • Master’s degree in Design, Sociology, Psychology, Product Design, Industrial Design, Communication, or related fields with a strong interest in strategy, technology, and complex systems;

  • Basic knowledge about design tools (e.g., Figma, Miro) and/or heatmap, session recording, survey, etc. (e.g., Contentsquare or similar) and understanding web design basics (UX and UI);

  • Familiarity with modern technologies for creating optimal user experiences, curiosity about AI, automation, and new digital tools;

  • Attitude for continuous learning and adoption of new methodologies;

  • Good communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams;

  • Proactive attitude, boundless curiosity, and a desire to make an impact on society;

  • Ability to collect and process feedback constructively;

  • Fluent knowledge of English and Italian (oral and written). knowledge of a third language is considered a plus
